Location and infrastructure
The Tulbinger Kogel is located near the city boundaries of Vienna at the northwestern section of the Vienna Woods. With a height of 494 m, the mountain that has been named after Tulbing is the highest elevation in the Tulln district and in the entire northwestern edge of the Tullnerfeld. The Leopold-Figl-Warte (a lookout post), designed by Clemens Holzmeister, has been built on the peak of the Tulbinger Kogel and provides a perfect panoramic view over some 300 mountains of the Eastern Alps, including Ötscher, Schneeberg and Großer Priel.
